Good Scientific Practice
GSP_ARM!d is run by Michael Mende, Science Coordinator, Animal Facility Lead and Ombudsperson at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behaviour, Konstanz, as well as certified VIRT2UE instructor offering training sessions to inform about rules of Good Scientific Practices and how to Avoid Research Misconduct.

Hands On Approach
Flexible Coaching Sessions
I inform groups of 8-16 graduate students, PostDocs and/or faculty members about the standard statutes of research integrity and compare them against the local regulations at place. However, courses do not focus on compliance alone but prepare scientists for the complexities and dilemmas of the day-to-day research life by promoting moral and value development. Sessions can be booked for as little as a 1.5 hrs lectures to two-days workshops (preferred). Courses are offered both in German or English - Also available as ONLINE course!

Objectives
Participants learn the following principles:
HONESTY - conveying information truthfully and honouring commitments
ACCURACY - reporting findings precisely and taking care to avoid errors
EFFICIENCY - using resources wisely and avoiding waste
OBJECTIVITY - letting the facts speak for themselves and avoiding improper bias

Approach
During the workshops and lectures, participants will be engaged in:
Discussions
Group Work
Role Play
Case Studies
....and receive relevant material and links to useful resources
